Try nature's own super-fertiliser
Bløme consists of larval droppings and exoskeleton remains from when the larvae grow. It is a unique and organic universal fertiliser that is naturally dry and odourless.
Bløme strengthens plant and soil
Insects play an important role in the ecosystem by making nutrients available to plants. Bløme is an excrete from insects that stimulates growth, improves plant health and benefits the micro-life in the soil.
Naturally dry and odourless
Bløme is naturally dry and can be stored for extended periods of time. As it is odourless, it can easily be used both outside and inside - with herbs, potted ornamental plants or in your kitchen garden.
Bløme is available as a naturally dry powder in a 275g cup for use inside, and as granulate in a 2kg bag for use outside.
Good for your soil, good for our earth
Our larvae get organic food rests which they convert to valuable proteins and an excellent natural fertiliser.
Bløme is a sustainable and renewable source of those nutrients plants need to thrive. In addition Bløme contributes new micro-organisms to the soil, instead of depleting them. This is circular economy in practice!
Contains chitin - a natural bio-stimulant
Larvae shed their exoskeleton several times throughout their lives, and so contribute chitin to our fertiliser. Chitin is documented to stimulate the immune system of plants, encourage growth and prevent several plant diseases and insect pests.
Approved for organic cultivation
Bløme is approved for use in organic cultivation of crops and is well-suited for in your vegetable garden. NPK-values are 3-2-3.
Releases nutrients over time
Many of the nutrients Bløme contains are bound in organic chains that are gradually broken down by soil microbes. Over time these nutrients become available to the plants. In this way, the plants get steady access to nutrients throughout the growing season, while simultaneously improving the soil health.
Garden product of the year 2019
Bløme was named garden product of the year in 2019 at the Den Store Hagemessen, a gardening fair.
How to use Bløme
For herbs and potted plants
Either...
Mix 1 tablespoon of Bløme with a litre of soil when you are planting.
Or...
Scatter 1-3 teaspoons in the pot and mix it with the top layer of soil.
Water well afterwards. Then wait until the top layer is dry before watering again.
Recommended frequency of use: Use Bløme once a month between during the growing season for best results.
For your vegetables and garden
When we harvest from our garden, we extract nutrients from the soil. Bløme returns these nutrients to the micro-organisms in the soil, which over time make them available to plants. This way we strengthen both soil and plants which is useful for any vegetable garden.
Bløme is especially useful if you have:
-
Nutrient-poor soil
-
Nutrient-demanding plants
-
Limited acces to compost
-
Problems with plant health because of fungus or insect pests
For gardens and seedbeds
Scatter Bløme over the soil and mix in with the top soil layer.
Soil mixture for pots and pallet frames
Mix Bløme with the soil before you plant.
Fertilising during the growing season
Once a month, scatter a handful of Bløme on the soil for extra growth.
